This question is India centric. For a bigger cause a few have to suffer and they are always compensated. Hence, widening of roads in major cities is a step taken by the government in the right direction. Parking of vehicles at the proper place, removing unauthorised vendors and movement of traffic are the responsibilities of the municipal corporation and the traffic police respectively. They are also a part of the government. From this question it seems they have not their homework well and have a lot of catching up to do. The ministry of urban development and home are here at fault. The concerned chief minister needs to take a background check of these two very important departments.
