Global business: What works and what doesn’t in strategic planning, relevant policies & strategies and some crucial issues in corporate ethics

I had made an attempt to write a few research papers some time back. Some were presented, published and appreciated; some didn’t either due to me not meeting the required deadlines or my boss not being interested. I take the opportunity to share some of the abstracts with my readers here. .

Abstract:

Businesses in general and companies in particular that are wide awake about the changes happening in the environment and those which have internal mechanisms to react to these changes are the ones that do well in the long run. Here the emphasis is on understanding how strategic planning can help companies to ascertain and figure out the environmental risks and deal with them effectively.

Some crucial and fundamental principles lie beneath every successful strategy. By understanding these principles a competent manager can construct a successful strategy.

Ethics in the corporate world has gained importance and has made startlingly rapid progress globally over the last decade and a half. With businesses moving beyond national borders, it has become crucial for every company to work out that the fundamental knowledge and practice of ethics is most essential to globally function successfully. This research paper explains how an internationally operational business, which has to perform in several legal and social structures, can build on ethical standards by preparing, putting into operation and enforcing corporate codes of conduct.

Decision making in the era of globalization by the strategic leaders who have left a mark have also been discussed.
